Years 7 & 8

In years 7 and 8 it is important that pupils experience the full range of media available in the department.

The course should give every pupil:

 Confidence that their ideas are valid and that their skills are adequate and can be built upon. A breadth of experience in 2 & 3 dimensions. An understanding of the basic elements of Art and Design  A knowledge of Art history and the context within which Art is made. An opportunity for the personal expression of their imagination, through thematic work.  Homework, that is relevant and clearly understood.  Assessment and target setting, in line with other subjects at BMS.
